The increase in government medical colleges from 5 to 26 after 2014 reflects a major strengthening of public medical education infrastructure in Telangana. It also contributes to building a stronger healthcare system by producing more trained doctors for public service.
2.Government Gurukul School's 🏫
The growth of Gurukula schools from 298 to 1,022 after 2014 represents a significant investment in residential education. These institutions provide academic support, accommodation, and a stable learning environment, especially benefiting students from rural and disadvantaged backgrounds. The expansion has helped improve educational access and continuity for thousands of students across the state.
3. Residential Degree Colleges 🎓
The establishment of 85 residential degree colleges after 2014 created new pathways for higher education where none existed earlier. These colleges enable students to pursue undergraduate studies with academic guidance and residential facilities, supporting those who may face financial or geographical barriers. This development has contributed to improved college enrollment and educational continuity.
4. MBBS Seats 🩺
The increase in MBBS seats from 850 to 3,915 has greatly expanded opportunities for students aspiring to pursue medical careers. By strengthening medical education capacity within the state, more students can now access professional training locally. This growth also supports long-term healthcare needs by increasing the availability of trained medical professionals.
5. Government Nursing Colleges 🏥
The rise in government nursing colleges from 5 to 23 reflects focused efforts to strengthen healthcare education. This expansion has created more opportunities for students to enter nursing and allied health professions through public institutions. It also supports the healthcare system by increasing the number of trained nursing professionals available for hospitals and community health services
6. Residential Junior Colleges 🏫
The expansion of residential junior colleges from 146 to 737 has improved access to intermediate education, especially for students from rural and economically weaker sections. These colleges provide structured academic support and accommodation, helping students continue their education after school. This has played a role in improving transition rates from secondary to higher secondary education.
7. IT Jobs 💼
The growth in IT jobs from 3,23,396 to 9,05,715 indicates strong expansion of the technology sector and improved employment opportunities for youth. This growth has created better career prospects for students graduating in technical and professional fields. It has also contributed to urban development and skill-based employment across Telangana.
8. IT Exports 🌐
The increase in IT exports from ₹57,256 crore to ₹2,14,275 crore highlights significant economic growth in the technology sector. This expansion reflects increased investment, innovation, and global engagement, which in turn supports job creation and skill development. The growth of IT exports has strengthened the state’s economy and created broader opportunities for students and young professionals.
